Stefan glares at Lexi, furious.
STEFAN: WHO ARE YOU?!?
LEXI: It's me, Stefan--it's me!
A hurt look appears on Stefan's face.

In Elena's room...
ELENA: How do you feel about it?
Stefan takes a deep breath.
STEFAN: I've just found out that my best friend has been lying to me from the moment we met--how do you think I feel about it?
Elena wraps her arm around Stefan's shoulders.
V.O.(Damon): Lexi's on Original!
*****
The boarding house...
DAMON: You cannot trust her!
ELENA: I know what I'm doing!
DAMON: Clearly not!
*****
Tyler chases Caroline out of the Grill...
TYLER: I don't get what the big deal is, Forbes! What's wrong with celebrating your birthday?
Caroline turns towards him, tears in her eyes.
CAROLINE: Because it's not ok! Birthdays are about celebrating getting older, and I'm not! I'm never going to get older, Tyler! Ever again!
She runs off.
*****
LUCY: I'm sorry--but I can't break the spell connecing you together.
JEREMY: Why not?
Lucy sighs.
LUCY: Because, right now, it's the only thing keeping you alive.
Jeremy and Vicki stare at each other in shock.
*****
The boarding house...
STEFAN: Klaus bit her before I did, Damon. If he was telling us the truth...
DAMON: There's no 'if' Stefan--I saw it.
ELENA: Meredith's as strong as you?
A nervous look crosses Damon's face.
DAMON: Stronger.
*****
Meredith sits with her grandfather...
MEREDITH: At night, it's like I'm one of them...I'm strong, I'm fast, I can heal...but as soon as the sun goes up all that power goes away.
GRAMPS: There's only one way to save you.
He hands her a wooden stake.
GRAMPS: You need to kill that demon that infected you.
*****
The station...
Stefan and Lexi turn around, just as Meredith jumps at them from above--stake in hand.
MEREDITH: I'm sorry--but I don't have a choice!
*****
Caroline stands in the middle of an applauding crowd, grinning.
Up on the stage, Matt and Tyler wave nervously.
MATT: (muttering) Is dying of stage fright considered a supernatural death?
*****
Damon and Katherine sit on the roof, drinking wine.
DAMON: Here's to the next century and a half.
They clink their glasses.
